Ice Rescue Extrication Sled IRS

Here’s a purpose built, stand off rescue sled that is easy to store, quick to set up, and simple to operate.

Responding several hundred feet, old rescue techniques can take an hour to complete. Modern sleds get it done in minutes! Shaped hull and Teflon coated runners combine to reduce drag, allowing you to quickly walk, slide, crawl or swim to the scene. When transiting thin or weak thick melting ice, sleds spread out rescuer’s weight. O/S, a safe distance from victim, prone rescuer extends an empty sled which becomes a self rescue reaching device. Sled’s minimal buoyancy enables victim to easily climb atop. Sling provides patient with positive independent buoyancy. During extrication, device shields both patients’s an rescuer’s torso while providing positive buoyancy.
